my trip to desaru fruit farm
departed from my house at 5:30...so early lei...my popo and uncle came to my house even earlier...dad drove the car and picked nanny up..then we were on our way to changi ferry terminal..the reporrting time was at 6:30..the ferry left at 7:30..there were many big and small group of families...we were in group 1...the first batch of people...chen jian bin will bring in the second batch of people later....bus no. 3....there were eight buses in all...not one single seat was empty...MC king boarded the same ferry as us...talked and entertained us quite a bit...we went through the immigration and took the bus no. 3...our tour guide was ken...reached our destination....DESARU FRUIT FARM AGRO TOURISM...that was the full name...within like 20 mins.all the tour guides and the bosses of the farm were all realtives..it's a family business!! had our breakfast at 9am...a choice and nasi lemak and noodles plus fruits...there were fruits for every meal...and that we should always eat it before a meal...not after it.The tour started....>>>>9.45am--went to explore the fruit farm...many different kind of fruits...how they grow all that...there was a small petty zoo for us to pet the animals..there were goats, ostrich, chicken and chicks, koi pond and many more!!took some pictures and walked over to an area where we were supposed to pluck kang kong out for our dinner for each of our bus number. My bus plucked the most..yay!We were introduced to vegetables, how they grow and how long it takes.Protection of the fruits were needed too, if not it will be infested with flies.MC king went too but he did not walked just stayed outside and covered his face with towel.He went for laser on his face..it was quite swollen.
went back to the fruit farm for bee talk. talks on how bees' honey and royal jelly are good for one's health.
11.30-- had seafood lunch..delicious!
1 pm-- check into the resort which looks like a chalet.It was the only resort which was not bankrupt as all the nearby hotels (5 stars*) stopped operating - bankrupt lor.Big flies were common, more especially at night in the toilet where the flies died while some still flies.horrible!! had free and easy,so slept for a while.
6 pm-- chen jian bin came with his wife and other groups...other buses.Had dinner. A fruit feast...ate many durains..kept asking for more..hahas.During dinner...MC king, chen jian bin and his wife (taiwanese) entertained us..sang songs..talked jokes...played games.They asked people whose birthday falls on June to come onstage to celebrate.My popo was one of them..hehhe.
7.30 pm-- went to see firefly.Took a ferry out to the river..saw thosands of them..the person kept splashing water on the trees to make the fireflys come out...it lit like christmas trees. Amazing! But thier life span was short..only lived up to 40 days.
10 pm-- back chalet to sleep
6.30 am-- had breakfast..it was raining..activities were delayed, but went ahead with it.
8.30 am-- went to vegetable farm...arrived but buses cannot travel along a narrow road down the farm so...sat on pull- trucks...the vehicle was extremely unstable...with the rain..it is highly so.the ride was bumpy.reached there and nanny plucked vegetables...took a jeep truck back.
10 am-- back to hotel--check out!
11.30 am-- went to the beach to take a stroll..to see a big rock..forgot the name of it.went to mushroom farm.
12.30pm -- had lunch bought some food stuff then it was back to s'pore!
it was a memorable holiday...fun too..learnt many stuff..a fun-filled experience of kampong life..a great tour indeed!!hahhas
